slightly elegant

  Is there anything better than a lazy Sunday morning? Ashley came over to my apartment this morning after church, and we made blueberry muffins for breakfast, washed down with piping hot coffee. While we ate, we listened to one of our favorite radio shows- NPR's "Says You".  Ashley and I are both very fond of listening to public radio, and we tune in frequently to our local station, WPLN in Nashville, TN. If you've been reading for very long, you'll know that we're definitely big breakfast people here, and it's a common part of our everyday routine to get up early and go eat a good big breakfast. A lot of people don't like doing the same things all the time, and while it's true that Miss Ashley and I like to try new things and be adventurous, we also love sticking to our routine. It's nice to have your baristas know your name, and know what you want to order. It's ever so nice to fill your life with people and routines that you can depend on. So even if you're a rolling stone, why don't you try a little consistency, every now and then? It's good for the soul, you know. Daniel

Daniel and I love to get up on the weekends and go to Starbucks to have breakfast and play cards. It's one of our favorite things to do. We also love the little cat writing on the king card. Happy Sunday!

Today Ashley and I went to breakfast at a little joint in our town which we call "the A-frame". We can never remember the real name, but it's a quaint little diner that's always full of old people and policemen(that's how you know it's tasty!). Unfortunately, once our massive breakfasts arrived, we were too busy digging in to take photographs of our meal; thus, all you get is this little picture of our beverages.  Also, you might have noticed that this blog's name changed a couple of days ago; that's because Miss Ashley has asked me(Daniel) to share her blog with her!
