recipe: apple pie tarts
What you need:
2 boxes of Pillsbury Pie Crusts
3 large apples
3/4 cups of sugar
2 teaspoons of cinnamon
6 tablespoons of flour
2 tablespoons of butter
Makes: 24 Tarts
Preheat your oven to 425 degrees.
Step 1: Using a cookie cutter, cut an even number of small circular crusts. Place half of the cuts an inch or so apart on a cookie sheet or stone for the bottom of the tarts. Set aside the other half for the tops to use later.
Step 2: Peel your apples, and chop them into small pieces.
Step 3: Combine the chopped apples, sugar, cinnamon, flour, and butter into a mixing bowl. (Use hands to mix ingredients.)
Step 4: Place a spoonful of filling on the bottom cuts.
Step 5: Place tops on. Using a fork, mash the two cuts together.
Step 6: Cuts small slits on the top of the tarts.
Step 7: Cook 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
